Ghanaian content creator and producer Derrick Acheampong, known famously as Breggle Acha Derrick, won the Social Media Influencer of the Year at the 2024 Ashanti Region Music Awards held in Kumasi, last weekend.
The former Angel FM and ABN Radio One producer won the award in a very tight category that had other big names like NY DJ, Oboy CJ, Razak Ghana, Ameyaw Boateng, Alpha Sarkcess and Kumasi Major.
Breggle Acha Derrick has been working in Ghana’s media space since 2017, promoting music artists and their works on social media, as well as booking them for various shows.
Breggle Acha Derrick produces for DJ Slim, one of the most prominent DJs in Ghana.
He has an X (formerly Twitter) influencer team that boosts artistes’ visibility and helps them to appear on trending topics on the platform.
He is also the founder of Abonten News, an online news platform that shares breaking news and other trending stories around the world on social media.
Currently, Breggle Acha Derrick works at HitMixer Records, where he is part of the team that produces popular online shows like ‘Street Is Watching’, ‘In The Booth’, ‘Loud Lounge’ and ‘For The Culture’ in Ghana.
He also manages all the pages for these shows on social media.
